Catan Junior takes families with young children to a place quite different from Catan as adults know it with simplified building rules and child-oriented trading. The colorful board and game pieces are fun and appealing to children.

How to Play:

The game takes place on a ring of islands where 2-4 players build pirate lairs and encounter the mysterious Spooky Island where the Ghost Captain lives. Each island has a specific resource: wood, goats, molasses or swords. Plus players can acquire gold. Each player starts with two pirate lairs on different islands. Players acquire resources to build ships and more lairs and get help from Coco the Parrot cards. By building ships, they expand their network, but they need to watch out for the Ghost Captain. First player to control seven pirate hideouts wins.
